Volleyball Produce Strong Performance To Defeat UVA-wise 3-0

Box Score
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Notre College volleyball team produced one of their best performances of the season to defeat UVA-Wise 3-0 in Murphy Gymnasium.

The Falcons controlled each of the three sets to secure an impressive win. NDC won the first set 25-18, won the second set 25-12 and then finished the match off 25-17 in the third.

The most impressive part of the Falcon performance was that the Falcons only committed four hitting errors.

In attack the Falcons were once again led by the combination of senior middle hitter Suzanne Morris and freshman outside hitter Lindsay Shirilla. Morris led the team with 9 kills and Shirilla had 8 in the match.

Defensively redshirt freshman Ryan Moriarty and freshman Morgan Toman each had 9 digs.

Overall the Falcons produced their best hitting performance of the season with .329 due mainly in part to how few errors they committed.

The Cavaliers were led by Karley Allen who had 15 kills.

The Falcons will look to continue their good form on Friday Oct. 25 when they travel to conference leading Wheeling Jesuit to take on the Cardinals.
