EDINBORO, Pa. - Notre Dame lost its season opener, 2-0, at the hands of the Fighting Scots of Edinboro University on Thursday.

The Falcons were outshot, 20-4, in the contest, and with Edinboro tallying two goals in the first half, NDC was unable to muster a comeback.

Liz Debo scored in the 30th minute, and Lauralee Clements doubled the EU lead in the 40th minute.

Kristy Kolschetzky made seven saves for NDC in the losing effort.

Notre Dame will play its second game on Saturday, when the Falcons travel to Erie, Pa., to take on the Mercyhurst Lakers.
