In the victory, NDC senior Brianne Schmansky scored her 1,000th career kill, making her the third player in the history of the program to accomplish that feat.

The victory for the Falcons (7-22) was their third in their last four matches, and completed a season sweep of OVU, while the loss for the Fighting Scots (6-25) was their second in a row.

Notre Dame opened the contest with a 25-21 victory, while hitting .419 in the set to take an early advantage.  The Falcons were even more impressive in the second set, as they hit .737 and won convincingly, 25-11.

Ohio Valley did not go down quietly.  The final two sets were decided by two points.  The Fighting Scots had 13 kills in the third set and hit .367 on their way to a 26-24 victory, before the Falcons returned the favor, to take the match with a 26-24 win in the final set.
