The loss for the Falcons (8-14) gives them four in a row, and six out of their last seven matches. The victory for Cedarville (16-13) snapped a brief two game skid, and completed a season sweep of the Falcons.
Notre Dame had a tough time getting going, and the Yellow Jackets were able to find success early on. Cedarville hit .484 in the first match, and won, 25-18. Notre Dame was held to just seven kills in the second set, in a 25-17 defeat, and Cedarville took the final set, 25-19 to win the match.
Leading the way for Notre Dame offensively was senior
Lauren TURNER, who had six kills on the evening. Chandler MASS had 19 assists to go along with five digs, and sophomore Kelsey SWORDS paced NDC defensively with 11 digs.
The Falcons will be in action again on Saturday, Oct. 22, when they participate in a tri-match against Central State, and the Cumberlands (Ky.) The first contest is slated to begin at noon.
