The Falcons (0-1-0), finished the first half down three goals to the sixth-ranked (NAIA Preseason Coaches' Poll) and two time (2005, 2007) NAIA National Champion RedHawks (1-0-1).
“There is a reason they (MMC) are one of the top teams in the country,” said NDC Head Coach Michael Shiels. “Our new players learned what it will take to play at the highest level, we made a few mistakes and they (MMC) made us pay for them.”
The RedHawks would add two more goals before the final whistle would signal the conclusion of the NDC's first match of 2010.
NDC will take on the tenth-ranked (NAIA Preseason Coaches' Poll) William Carey (Miss.) in their second game in Pulaski, Tenn., Sunday, Sept. 5, at 10 a.m.
