Falcons battle to draw

Alderson-Broaddus holds off Falcons

PHILIPPI, W. Va. NDC came into their third match of the year against Alderson-Broaddus College (0-2-2) after earning their first votes in the 2010 NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll (Regular Season No. 1) that was announced Tuesday Sept. 7, 2010 by the NAIA. The Falcons earned their votes behind a 1-1 draw on Sunday Sept. 5, 2010, against then ninth-ranked (NAIA Preseason Women's Soccer Coaches' Poll) William Carey College. The Falcons (0-1-2) and AB battled to a 0-0 double overtime draw. #Brittany Cruz#, a junior from Amherst, Ohio and freshman #Kristy Kolschetzy# from Mentor, Ohio combined to ear the Falcons' first clean sheet. 

“We never looked like we would concede a goal today, but we needed to play a little more disciplined going forward today.” Coach #Mike Shiels# said.

NDC return home for their first home match of the year, Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, to take on Rochester (Mich.) at 4:30 p.m. The match will be played at Laurel Schools Butler Campus in Russell Township.
