LYNDHURST, Ohio -- Shawnee State topped Notre Dame, 1-0, in Saturday's home opener at Korb Field.

The Bears tallied a score when NDC's defense chipped a deflection into their own goal in the sixth minute.  SSU then held on for the final 84 minutes to claim the 1-0 win in American Mideast Conference play.
