Notre Dame slays Dragons in three

Falcons unbeaten in their last four matches

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Seniors #Jessica Parks# and #Kate Verhoff# paced the Falcons to victory on Tuesday night, as Notre Dame defeated Tiffin, 3-0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-14), to win its fourth match in a row. (Box)

Parks had a team-high 12 kills and hit .706 in the match. As a team, the Blue & White posted a .275 attack percentage on the strength of just five hitting errors over the first two sets. Verhoff stuffed the stat sheet with 30 assists, five aces, six kills and seven digs, as the Falcons ran their Murphy Gymnasium record to 7-2. Tuesday's match was Notre Dame's sixth consecutive played on College Road.

Junior #Katie Barbis# hit .389 on seven kills; she added a team-high 16 digs in the non-conference win over a struggling Tiffin Dragon (3-24) squad.

Notre Dame will resume conference play on Thursday, when they take on Mount Vernon Nazarene in a key American Mideast Conference road match. A win for NDC in what is their final in-circuit match would even the Falcons' league mark at 6-6 and give them a shot at one of the AMC's six postseason berths.
