MEC Tournament: The quarterfinals begin on Thursday, with No. 10 NDC against No. 2 West Virginia State at noon. Next, No. 3 Frostburg State faces No. 6 Concord at 2:30 p.m., before No. 1 Fairmont State sees the winner of No. 9 WVWC at 6 p.m. The nightcap will feature No. 4 Charleston against No. 5 Wheeling. On Saturday Mar. 9 both semifinal matchups will play before the MEC Championship takes place on Sunday Mar. 10 at 2 p.m. The winner of the MEC Tournament receives an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

Records: NDC enters the game at 11-18, as the No. 10 seed in the MEC. WVSU is currently 19-9 and the No. 2 seed in the league.

Coaches Corner: Lauren Macer is back at the helm of the Notre Dame College women's basketball team in her second stint and fifth season as head coach. Macer, the 2019-20 MEC Coach of the Year, maintains an 88-49 career record. Charles Marshall heads WV State in his eighth season.

Rankings: West Virginia State is currently seated No. 9 in the Atlantic Region poll.

Series History: NDC is 13-9 all-time when facing WV State, dating back to their first meeting in 2013-14 and including the Yellow Jackets pair of victories this season. Back on Jan. 10 in South Euclid, Ohio WVSU got the best of NDC 82-56, as
Noel Weathers generated 20 points, 14 rebounds, five blocks and four steals. On Feb. 17 in Institute, WV, the Falcons fell to the Yellow Jackets 89-67. WVSU lives and dies by the three-pointer, ranking third in the country at 31.6 three-pointers attempted per game. In each of their first two meetings, the Yellow Jackets have launched at least 33 three-pointers.

Noting the Falcons: Last week, Notre Dame rounded out the regular season with a pair of wins, as NDC has played above .500 (winning percentage) basketball since Jan. 27. On Wednesday, Weathers generated a career-high 28 points and 16 rebounds in the win over West Liberty, 69-68. On Saturday,
Nadia Jackson turned in a career-high 17 points in the senior day victory over Salem, 85-53. With the win over Glenville State, 82-78, NDC is now on a three-game winning streak, including going 7-5 since Jan. 27.

In the MEC Tournament victory over GSU, Carlson carried the Falcons offensively and tied a season-high with 28 points on 8-12 shooting from the floor (10-12 FTs). Weathers turned in her third consecutive double-double and team-leading 10
th on the season, with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Karli Anker also added 18 points and eight rebounds and the Falcons dominated the Pioneers on the glass 56 to 43.

Weathers, a Second Team All-MEC selection, has led Notre Dame College and the Mountain East Conference all season long in rebounds (9.3) and blocks (2.2), including ranking 12
th in the entire country in blocks per game. Furthermore, the Cincinnati, Ohio native fueled the Falcon offense as the leading scorer at 12.9 points per game, seated 15
th in the MEC. The Mt. Healthy High School product's 10 double-doubles are the second-most in the MEC.

Carlson (10.2), Anker (10.0) and
Kennadi Harris (9.9), and offer additional offensive support. Harris is the leading three-point shooter at 38.9-percent on 49 made threes. Anker has been a sparkplug for Notre Dame as of late, scoring in double figures in each of her last five games, including nine of the last 11 contests. Alongside scoring at an efficient 51.5-perecent clip, Carlson is the team's top facilitator ranking 14
th in the MEC at 74 assists, averaging 2.6 assists per game.

Rachel Richardson (7.9) and
Cencere McDaniel (7.8), join the offensive attack as McDaniel gives the Falcons scoring off the bench, while Richardson is a combo guard who can score and facilitate when needed, totaling 55 assists (2
nd on the team).

As a team, Notre Dame averages 68.3 points on 40.8-percent shooting from the floor, 32.8-percent shooting from three and 65.7-percent shooting from the free throw line. The Falcons add 36.8 rebounds per game (-3.8 margin), 12.3 assists per game, 8.2 steals per game and 4.6 blocks per game. NDC ranks t-15
