Carlson claims Academic All-District honors

Notre Dame College's Lilee Carlson has been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team for the 2023-24 season. The junior becomes the sixth different player to earn the award Notre Dame program history. (Release)
 
Carlson is an Early Childhood Education PK-5 major with a 3.97 GPA. This season, the junior from Stow, Ohio started all 30 games for Notre Dame College, leading the team in minutes played (31.0), field goal percentage (51.4%), free throws made (79), assists (75) and steals (40), while being second in points per game (10.3), field goals made (109) and shots blocked (26). Amongst the Mountain East Conference, the Stow-Munroe Falls High School product ranked eighth in blocks, 11th in minutes played and 15th in assists. In the MEC Tournament on Mar. 6, Carlson carried NDC to a upset victory over Glenville State with a season-high 28 points, including 8-12 shooting from the floor and 10-12 shooting from the free throw line.
 
The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Carlson will now be on the ballot for the Academic All-America® honors, seeking to become the first NDC Falcon to hoist the award since the 2015-16 season.
