Coaches Corner: Lauren Macer is back at the helm of the Notre Dame College women's basketball team in her second stint and fifth season as head coach. Macer, the 2019-20 MEC Coach of the Year, maintains an 81-40 career record. Todd Perdas is in his second season with Lake Erie College.

Series History: Since becoming an NCAA Division II member, NDC has faced Lake Erie once, dating back to 2012-13 when the Falcons bested the Storm, 66-51 in Painesville, Ohio.

Noting the Falcons: Last week, Notre Dame played one contest, resulting in a narrow 57-54 defeat to Tiffin. Sophomore
Noel Weathers produced a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double, to go with a career-high six blocks, career-high five steals and career-high three assists. Weathers' six blocks are tied for the second most in a game in NDC program history.

The sophomore from Cincinnati, Ohio powers the Notre Dame College offense, leading the team in scoring (12.8 ppg), rebounding (8.7 rpg) and blocks (1.7 bpg). Weathers ranks 12
th, second and first in the Mountain East Conference, respectively in those categories, including 34
th in NCAA Division II in blocks per game. The Mt. Healthy High School product also holds team-highs in field goals made (59) and attempted (134).

A host of Falcons add to a balanced scoring attack for NDC, in
Lilee Carlson (10.5 ppg),
Kennadi Harris (10.5 ppg),
Rachel Richardson (9.2 ppg),
Karli Anker (8.3 ppg) and
Cencere McDaniel (8.3 ppg).

Harris is the conference's leading three-point shooter at 45.1-percent, ranking 18
th in the country. Carlson is the top facilitator (2.2 apg) and second-best shot blocker (0.9 bpg), ranking tied 22
nd and tied fifth in the MEC, respectively.

McDaniel contributes to the rebounding effort at 4.7 rebounds per game, while Carlson and
Mallory Hullinger lead the team in steals (14).

As a unit, Notre Dame averages 70.0 points per game on 41.7-percent shooting from the floor, 30.6-percent shooting from three and 67.0-percent shooting from the free throw line. The Falcons add 36.5 rebounds per game (-4.0 margin), 12.5 assists per game, 8.8 steals per game and 3.9 blocks per game.

Noting the Storm: Last week, Lake Erie fell during both of their contests, beginning with a 65-49 defeat to Wheeling on Saturday, with Nina Shaffer scoring 14. On Thursday, the Storm were outmatched by Findlay 88-44, as Kylie Maxwell tallied a team-high 13 points.

Anna Ibos carries the Storm offensively, as the lone player to average double figures at 10.3 ppg. Ibos posts team-highs in field goals made (33) and attempted (74), three-pointers made (13) and attempted (38), free throws made (24) and attempted (33), three-point percentage (34.2%) and free throw percentage (72.7%).

Alexis Lehmkuhl (7.7 ppg) and Maxwell (6.2 ppg) offer additional scoring support for Lake Erie, as Lehmkuhl touts a team-high 45.2-percent shooting from the field. Maxwell is the team's leading rebounder at 4.5 rpg, alongside Ryan Elbert at 4.0 rpg. Elbert is the top facilitator, registering 17 assists on the season.

As a whole, Lake Erie averages 49.7 points, on 32.4-percent shooting from the floor, 26.8-percent shooting from three and 68.4-percent shooting from the free throw line. The Strom add 30.5 rebounds per game (-9.3 margin), 8.3 assists per game, 6.7 steals per game, and 2.1 blocks per game.
