This Week:Â On Jan. 13, Notre Dame College will be in Tiffin, Ohio for the 2024 Regional Duals. To start the day, the Falcons meet No. 20 ranked Tiffin University before also competing against No. 5 Lake Erie College and the University of Findlay in separate duals.
Records:Â Notre Dame holds a dual record of 0-7, while Tiffin is 3-2. Entering the weekend, Lake Erie has a record of 5-3 and Findlay has only competed in two duals, going 1-1.

Coaches Corner:Â NDC's
Jordon Tague, Tiffin's Antonio Guerra and Lake Erie's Boomer Fechko are all in their second season at the helm of their programs. Shawn Nelson is in his 27
th campaign coaching at Findlay.
Rankings:Â In the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division II Top 25, Tiffin is ranked 20
th in the country, tied with Ashland in that spot. Lake Erie is currently a top five team in the nation, with five individuals ranked. Findlay is outside of the top 25, but is receiving votes.

Individually, in the NWCA rankings, Tiffin's Zack Donathan is the top ranked wrestler at 141 lbs. and Casey Barnett is No. 9 at 157. Lake Erie's Ryan Wehner is No. 11 at 133, Corey Gamet is ranked No. 10 at 141, Christian Small is No. 4 at 149, Jack Haskin is the third-best wrestler at 157 and James Penfold is the top wrestler at 174, according to the NWCA. For Findlay, at 125, Graham Shore is ranked No. 10.
Series History: The Falcons have had plenty of success against all three of these teams in the past. They have gone 2-1 against Tiffin, 8-2 against Lake Erie and 4-0 versus Findlay. NDC last competed against Tiffin and Lake Erie last season, but has not seen Findlay since the Falcons upset the No. 9 ranked Roughnecks, 24-19, in 2022.
Noting the Falcons:Â Notre Dame came back from the holiday break and wrestled Gannon University, on Jan. 5, to start the second half of the campaign. On the home mat, the Falcons fell by a score of 39-9. The day was highlighted by victories from
Ethan Aguiniga (165),
Marvelous Rutledge (197) and
La'Ron Parks (285). Aguiniga went ahead 6-1 in the first period and held off Caleb Butterfield for a 6-5 victory. Rutledge broke a 3-3 tie and won on a takedown, with less than 20 seconds left in the match. And Parks also won with a takedown in the sudden victory period, winning by a score of 4-1 over Matt Long. Parks and Long have now seen each other three times this season.
