The College Sports Communicators (CSC) have released the softball Academic All-District® team for 2023. Notre Dame College's

To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete has to be a sophomore, or older, and hold a GPA of 3.5, or better. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on June 6.
Gumont is a double major, studying management and marketing. The sophomore currently holds a GPA of 3.72. On the diamond, she played and started every game in either left or center field. The native of Warren, Ohio was named All-Mountain East Conference First Team this season and led the team in batting average, on-base-plus-slugging percentage (OPS), hits, home runs, RBI, total bases and slugging percentage. She was second on the team in doubles, triples and on-base percentage.
The NDC outfielder posted multiple hits in 23 different games and multiple RBI in 11 games. From March 21-March 25, she had a six-game hit streak that included 12 hits, 14 RBI and eight runs scored. She is tied for sixth in NDC single-game history with five RBI in a contest on April 5. On defense, out of players who had more than 100 putouts, she ranked third on the team in fielding percentage. In Notre Dame single-season records, her 48 RBI this season rank fifth and her 62 hits rank eighth.
Maciejowski, the first NDC softball player in program history to earn Academic All-District, last year, has done it again. As an undergraduate student, she majored in sports management and marketing and held a 3.61 GPA, before graduating last spring. This year, she posted a 3.93 GPA in the MBA program. Maciejowski earned All-MEC Second Team this season, taking all-conference honors for the second consecutive year. She led the team in home runs and on-base percentage and ranked second on the squad in OPS, runs, RBI and slugging percentage. The Macedonia, Ohio native had multiple hits in 13 games this season, including a 4-hit performance on April 27, which tied the program record. She also recording multiple RBI in five games. In NDC career ranks, she is 4th in home runs, 5th in triples, 8th in slugging percentage, 9th in doubles and 10th in hits.
Weilnau, also a sophomore, is a middle childhood education major with a 3.92 GPA. She became the first 15-game winner at NDC since 2008 and ranks 4th in NDC single-season history in victories. Weilnau is tied for seventh in NDC single-season history in shutouts, with four. In her first outing of the season, she struck out 12 hitters, which is tied for fourth most in program history and she finished the season 10th in NDC single-season history in strikeouts (115). The native of Sandusky, Ohio was at the top of the NDC pitching staff, and 19th in the country, in total starts. She is currently eighth in NDC history in career strikeouts.
