BEREA, Ohio – The Notre Dame College swimming and diving team traveled to Baldwin Wallace University on Friday Oct. 20 for a dual meet against the Yellow Jackets. The NDC women's team fell 138-61, as the men lost 156.5-48.5.
The Falcons were highlighted by senior
Abrielle Junge who swept the sprint freestyle events. First, Junge touched the wall at 26.54 in the 50-yard freestyle to nab nine points for NDC. The Medina, Ohio native featured an encore performance in the 100-yard freestyle, defeating the field by more than two and a half seconds with a time of 57.34.
Senior
Sebastian Sanchez-Cordero secured a first-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle at a time of 11:20.06.
Freshman
Riley Monahan earned first place in the 500-yard freestyle, swimming a 5:49.41 and besting BW's second-place finisher by over 11 seconds.
The Notre Dame College swimming and diving team will be back in action on Friday Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. as the Falcons travel to Edinboro University.
