SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – Notre Dame College's Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics
Scott Swain announced a pair of promotions within the NDC Athletic Department.
Emily Schwabenbauer has been promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Operations while also assuming the role of Senior Woman Administrator (SWA).
Jake Bunner moves into the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Information role.
Schwabenbauer has been at NDC since August 2019 when she was named Manager of Events and Operations. In her role, she oversees gameday operations on campus as well as maintaining Mueller Field, Normandy Field and Murphy Gymnasium. She also keeps records of team travel arrangements and team practice schedules, while serving as coordinator for the annual Falcon golf outing. As SWA, Schwabenbauer will promote meaningful representation for women in the leadership and management of sport, while acting as staff oversight for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
"Emily has done an exceptional job during her time thus far with Falcon Athletics," Swain said. "She has great initiative and a positive attitude that is well appreciated by coaches, staff and student-athletes. I am very confident she will excel in this new role."
The Erie, Pa. native graduated from John Carroll University in May 2019 with a bachelor's degree in sports studies. She interned at the Cleveland Sports Commission and the Notre Dame College Athletic Department.

"I look forward to my new role and continuing to work with all of our amazing coaches, staff and student-athletes. I am extremely excited to see the future accomplishments of Falcon athletics."
Bunner, who joined the NDC Athletic Department in January 2017, is being promoted from Sports Information Director. In his role, Bunner is tasked with maintaining the NDC Athletics website, producing content via social media, writing pregame and postgame stories, statistical information, photos, live streaming events through the Mountain East Digital Network, broadcasting and more.
"Jake leads a Sports Information Department that does a superb job on all fronts," Swain mentioned. "He is multi-talented and is vital to so many operations of Falcon Athletics. His work ethic is incredible and greatly appreciated by all of us."
The native of Willowick, Ohio graduated from Notre Dame College in May 2016 with a bachelor's degree in communication. While attending NDC, he was a writer for the Notre Dame News and a student worker in the Notre Dame Athletic Department.
