Jake Bunner joined Notre Dame College in January 2017 as the Assistant Sports Information Director. He was named Sports Information Director in June 2021 and was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director - Sports Information in June 2022.
Bunner is responsible for updating content on the Falcons’ athletic website, www.NotreDameFalcons.com, including game recaps, press releases, team rosters, schedules, athlete bios, coaching staffs and statistics.
He is also responsible for creating and distributing NDC Athletics marketing material, including social media content, game programs, schedule posters, team photos and more.
Born and raised in Willowick, Ohio, Bunner graduated from Notre Dame College in May 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and a minor in Writing.
While attending NDC, Bunner was a Staff Writer for the Notre Dame News for nearly two years before becoming the Senior Sports Editor, for a year. He also was a volunteer in the Notre Dame Sports Information Department, writing game recaps, PA announcing for several sports and play-by-play announcing for men’s and women’s basketball. He was the Director of Basketball Operations for the men’s team for two years.
Bunner was a broadcast intern for the Lake Erie Crushers, an independent minor league baseball team in Avon, Ohio, in the summer of 2015. That led to a job as an Assistant Broadcaster for the team during the 2016 season.
He currently resides in Painesville, Ohio.
