WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Coming off of two wins on Tuesday and an offday on Wednesday, Notre Dame College fell to The College of Saint Rose by a score 7-6 in the first game of the day on Thursday. Later in the day, the Falcons came back on Ferris State University, with four runs in the sixth inning, to win 8-7.

Emily Marsh and
Meadow Odum all had four hits on the day.
Saint Rose put the first run on the board on a solo home run in the first inning, but the NDC offense came to life in the second inning. The Falcons would score five runs with two outs in the inning. With a runner on first, Marsh, Odum and DeWeese had three consecutive singles to tie the game at one. Back-to-back bases-loaded walks drawn by senior

Emma Gumont put Notre Dame ahead 3-0 and led to a pitching change by SR. The Falcons would draw two more walks, as seniors
Mikaela Fording and
Alexi Maciejowski were credited with RBIs and Notre Dame pulled ahead, 5-1.
NDC starter
Allison Weilnau set the Golden Knights down in order in the second and third. Saint Rose would get one run in the fourth and tied the game at five with three runs in the fifth inning.
In the top of the seventh inning, sophomore
Ellen Wheatland pinch hit and led off with a double. Senior
Lexi Rehm re-entered the game and would score two batters later on a fielder's choice. NDC led 6-5.
But the first two hitters reached for the Golden Knights in the bottom of the seventh, and an error allowed both runs to score.
DeWeese, Marsh and Odum all had two hits in the game. Weilnau went 4 1/3 innings and allowed five runs, but just one was earned.
Against Ferris State, both teams scored a pair of runs in the first inning. DeWeese and Gumont singled for NDC and came around to score.
Ferris State added four runs in the top of the third inning, but Notre Dame responded again. Fording and Rehm both singled and scored. Through three frames, FSU led the Falcons 6-4.
Trailing 7-4 heading to the bottom of the sixth inning, Notre Dame put together a solid comeback. The Falcons plated four runs on five hits in the bottom half of the inning. DeWeese and Rivera singled and Gumont walked. Maciejowski doubled and two batters later, Marsh singled and Odum singled. The Falcons grabbed an 8-7 lead and junior
Kirsten Luksic was able to close the door in the top of the seventh to secure the win. Luksic went 3 2/3 innings, allowing just one hit and one run.
DeWeese, Rivera, Rehm, Marsh and Odum all had two hits in game two. Maciejowski and Marsh each totaled three RBI.
