WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – Two players scored 18 points and two scored 16 for Notre Dame College on Wednesday night, as the Falcons played No. 2 West Liberty University. Despite the balanced scoring for NDC, West Liberty was able to grab a 105-88 victory.

On the other side of the floor, West Liberty missed three consecutive 3-pointers. The Hilltoppers were unable to connect on their first four shots from the field. With 18:12 on the clock, West Liberty was finally able to get on the scoreboard when Viktor Kovacevic hit a pair of free throws.
After falling down by five points (13-8), junior
Tyland Crawford hit a shot from long range to bring NDC within two points, with 15:50 on the clock. Just over six minutes later, the Falcons had fallen behind by 12 points. However, over the span of two minutes, Notre Dame went on a 7-0 run and trailed by just five points (34-29).
At halftime, WLU led 53-41. Sampson had 12 points and pulled down five offensive rebounds in the first half. Junior
Daylin Lee added nine points and made two 3-pointers. Sampson and Lee both finished with 18 points in the contest and combined for 15 rebounds.
With just under 15 minutes remaining in the contest, Sampson went on a 5-0 run, by himself. He knocked down back-to-back jumpers and was fouled on the second shot. He made the free throw to complete the three-point play. With 14:23 on the clock, Notre Dame trailed by 13 points (65-52).
Willis scored 10 points and stole the ball twice in the second half. He finished the game with 16 points. Crawford had nine points and three rebounds in 13 minutes in the second half. He had 16 points, seven rebounds and tied a season-high with three steals in the game.
As a team, the Falcons had 15 second chance points after bringing down 15 offensive rebounds, which is the second highest amount of offensive boards for NDC this season.
Notre Dame will come home and close out the regular season against Alderson Broaddus University, in the Murphy Gymnasium, on Saturday. The contest is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
