SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – Returning to Mellen Pool for the first time in over a month, the Notre Dame College swimming and diving team hosted neighboring John Carroll University and Oberlin College on Friday evening. Senior 
Hannah Berlin led the Falcons by grabbing a first-place finish and three seconds, in the four events she swam in.
 
JCU bested NDC on the women's side 157-64 and 187-24 on the men's side. OC also defeated the Falcons, 113-98 for the women and 148-63 for the men.
 
As aforementioned, Berlin posted a strong outing by winning the 500 yard freestyle by nearly eight seconds (5:27.07).
 
In addition, she secured a second-place finish in the 200 yard medley relay (1:57.98), alongside teammates 
Alaina Wittum, 
Jordan Stump and 
Abrielle Junge. Moreover, Berlin, 
Courtney Ledbetter, 
Alexis Torosian and 
Brooke Dobrzanski were awarded second in the 400 yard free relay (3:52.15).
 
Lastly for Berlin, she tallied a second in the 200 yard freestyle (2:03.97).
 
Dobrzanski posted a quality 100 yard freestyle at a time of 55.83, narrowly missing first-place by .01.
 
In the 100 yard breaststroke, Stump's time of 1:12.06 was good for another second-place.
 
On the men's side, the quartet of 
Austin Arnold, 
Lorcan Kelleher, 
Roan Kelleher and 
Ashton Smith generated a second-place in the 200 yard free relay with a time of 1:29.50.
 
The Notre Dame College swimming and diving team will be back in action on Friday, Jan. 13 as the Falcons travel to Fairmont State University at 5 p.m.
