The latest National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division II top 25 poll was released on Friday, along with individual rankings. Notre Dame College's
Cale Hoskinson is ranked 11th at 157 lbs. and
La'Ron Parks is back in the heavyweight rankings, at No. 11. As a team, the Falcons are receiving votes in the national poll. (
Release)
Parks was No. 10 in the country at 285 lbs. in the NWCA preseason ranking, but had dropped out of the first regular season poll. After winning his bracket at the King Open, taking second place at the Storm Open and placing seventh at the Midwest Classic, Parks is back in the top-12 in the second individual ranking release.
Hoskinson has been on a roll recently and jumps into the ranking for the first time this season. He began the year wrestling at 165 lbs., and went 4-0 at the Glenville State Duals before taking first place in that weight class at the King Open and Storm Open. He then dropped down to 157 and took seventh in a tough Midwest Classic to jump to No. 11 in the country.
Notre Dame will get back on the mat on Jan. 8, when the Falcons travel to Davis & Elkins for a dual meet.
