Reddick scores four goals against Roberts Wesleyan

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – In their final non-conference game of the year, Notre Dame College fell to No. 23 Roberts Wesleyan College by a score of 22-8, on Wednesday afternoon.

The Notre Dame scoring began with sophomore Kendal Johnson's free position goal with 23:27 on the clock. Junior Ebony Reddick also scored on a free position shot, about 10 minutes later.

Graduate student Amanda Paino gave NDC their third goal of the game when she worked her way through two defenders on the right side of the goal and scored. NDC trailed 8-3 with 11:12 on the first half clock.

With 8:07 remaining in the first, Reddick had an opportunity and took advantage, as she spun to the left to free herself up for the goal, cutting the deficit to six points, 11-5.

The Falcons' final goal of the half went into the back of the net with 4:10 on the clock. NDC set up the goal by passing from left to right, eventually getting the ball to freshman Charlotte Vari. Vari scored and sophomore Alicyn Loberg was credited with the assist.

Roberts Wesleyan led 13-6 at the end of the first half. Johnson and Reddick each had two goals to lead Notre Dame.

At the 13:48-mark in the second half, Reddick charged in toward the goal and found a spot to put the ball in the net. Loberg was given her second assist of the day, which marked a career-high.

Reddick then tied her career-high by scoring her fourth goal with 8:09 remaining in the contest, converting on another free position shot.

Johnson totaled two goals in the game on four shots. Both Reddick and Loberg had five draw controls in the game. Senior Syndey DeCamp finished with two caused turnovers.

"Right now, this game is a learning experience on what we need to do to be a top 25 team," said head coach Ben Morhac. "We have work ahead of us, but we will be ready for conference play next Wednesday."

NDC comes home for their first Mountain East Conference matchup of the season against West Virginia Wesleyan College, on March 24. The game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
