SOUTH EUCLID, OH — The Notre Dame College Falcons improve to 10-2 in the 2021 season with a 75-63 victory over the West Liberty Hilltoppers on Saturday Evening. 

Notre Dame was able to put together a complete game on both sides of the ball, merging efficient offense with lockdown defense. The team finished with shooting percentages of 46 (FG), 55.6 (3-PT), 85.7 (FT), while earning 26 points off 16 West Liberty turnovers, 11 of which came from steals. Junior Theresa Parr put together a solid body of work on the boards, earning 11 total rebounds of which seven were defensive. 34 total Falcon rebounds helped lead to 12 second chance points throughout the game.

Three Falcons finished scoring in double-figures against West Liberty. Jada Marone scored 27 with four assists, and three rebounds and steals. The junior went 11-21 from the field, finishing with a shooting percentage of 52.3, and went a perfect 5-5 from the charity stripe. Marina Adachi was perfect at the perimeter, finishing 3-3 on three-point attempts and 12 points. Adachi also added five rebounds and two steals. Senior Jen Oduho added 10 points, three rebounds, and a steal off the bench in 23 minutes of playing time.

Head Coach Lauren Macer highlighted her team's defense in the win. "We really came out with good energy and overall played good defense", said Macer. "We had a few players that really put in the effort on the boards, and it was nice to see players step up on the offensive end. Altogether, it was a real team performance."

The Falcons return to the court on Wednesday evening as they host Fairmont in a 5 p.m. matchup.
