WHEELING, W.Va. – On Friday evening, Wheeling University took the match over Notre Dame College, 3-0.
To start the match, Notre Dame grabbed a 3-2 lead and then the two teams went back and forth, tying the game five times. NDC held an 8-6 advantage, before Wheeling went on a 6-1 run to grab the lead. Freshman

Katie Richardson totaled five assists in the first set.
Wheeling took a big lead early in the second set and went on to win. But in the third set, sophomore
Sarah DeGeorge got NDC off to a great start. She recorded a kill on four of NDC's first five points.
The Falcons stretched their lead to three, 7-4, when sophomore
Kaye Dregalla finished a kill with an assist by Richardson. A few points later, NDC pushed their lead to three, again, but the Cardinals responded with a 7-1 run. Notre Dame came right back with four consecutive points and grabbed a 16-15 lead. However, Wheeling would finish the 25-19 victory.
DeGeorge recorded 10 kills and eight digs. Richardson led the team with 21 assists and junior
Amelia Kaeberlein gave NDC 14 digs. The Falcons had a season-high hit percentage of .242.
NDC stays on the road to play West Liberty University on Feb. 16. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
