Coaches Corner: Imani Gordon is the head coach of Notre Dame College in her first season. Gordon was hired this past April after serving as an assistant with the team since 2017-18. Kate Bruce is in her fifth season with the Walsh women's basketball program and carries a 95-33 record with her.

Series History: All-time, Notre Dame is 0-1 against Walsh with their lone meeting taking place on Dec. 19 2012 when the Cavaliers bested the Falcons 44-42 in North Canton.

Noting the Falcons: Notre Dame College enters this week with a three-game win streak after finishing 2-0 last week. On Wednesday, NDC beat Davis & Elkins 61-48 after a strong fourth quarter where the Falcons outscored the Senators 17-6.
Alana Ellis led the Falcons in scoring with 16 points, followed by
Jen Oduho and
Tamia Ridley who each had 12. Ridley generated a career-high 24 rebounds during the contest, the second most rebounds in NDC program history and the most since 1997. Ridley's 24 rebounds are also the most in a game in the MEC this season.
Lilee Carlson added eight points, five rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks during the game.

On Saturday, Notre Dame toppled West Virginia Wesleyan on the road, 58-51. Ridley led the Falcons on offense with a game-high 14 points, followed by
Marina Adachi's season-high 13 points and Ellis' 11 points. Ridley again led the team in rebounds with 12.

In total, Ridley has tallied a double-double in three-straight games, including four of her last five. The senior is averaging 8.8 points per game (ppg) and 12.6 rebounds per game (rpg) on the season. The Massillon, Ohio native's 12.6 rpg are the top mark in the Mountain East Conference this season as she has amassed 113 total rebounds. Â In addition, Ridley ranks tied for ninth across all of NCAA Division II in rebounds per game.

In terms of offense, NDC has been led all season by Ellis' 16.2 ppg, as the sophomore has continued to pick up the scoring for Notre Dame who are without former All-American and leading scorer from a season ago in
Jada Marone. Oduho (13.9 ppg) and Carlson (10.0 ppg) are the only other Falcons to average double figures on the season. Moreover, Oduho boasts the top free throw percentage in the MEC at 90.9% (40-44).

On average for the season, Notre Dame is scoring 67.1 ppg on 37.8% shooting from the floor, 32.5% shooting from three and 70.3% shooting from the free throw line. They are allowing 75.0 ppg on 43.2% shooting from the field, 26.9% from three-point land and 61.2% from the line. NDC is being out-rebounded by an averaging of 3.8 boards per game.

Noting the Cavaliers: Walsh enters this week after going 1-1 last week, with a loss to Kentucky Wesleyan and a win over Trevecca Nazarene. On Thursday, Kentucky Wesleyan handed Walsh their first home loss of the season, 69-66. Sha Carter led the Cavaliers with 17 points, as Morgan McMillen (16) and Lexie Scarton (12) also posted double figures. On Saturday, Walsh avenged their loss with a win over Trevecca Nazarene on the home court, 77-57. This time it was McMillen leading the charge for the Cavaliers with a game-high 17 points, followed by Carter (15) and Megan Ball (15). McMillen shot an impressive 5-8 from three-point land in the game.

On the season, Carter has been the team's leading scoring at 17.5 ppg, followed by McMillen at 13.8 ppg and Mayci Sales at 11.8 ppg. Carter ranks fourth in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference for ppg, while McMillen ranks third in three-point percentage (50.8%) and first in three-point field goals per game (3.8). Moreover, Alyssa Dean and Scarton lead the team with 3.4 assists apiece, while also claiming the top two assist/turnover ratios in the GMAC at 3.0 and 2.5, respectively.

On average for the season, Walsh scores 75.9 ppg on 45.2% shooting from the floor, 36.5% shooting from three and 69.7% shooting from the charity stripe. The Cavaliers out-rebound their opponents by an average of 3.1 per game.
