Women’s basketball wraps up regular season this week

This Week: Notre Dame College women's basketball faces West Liberty University on February 26, which will be the Falcons' final regular season home game. That game is scheduled to tip-off at 5:30 p.m. The Falcons will end the regular season with a trip to Urbana University, on February 29 at 2 p.m.

Records: Notre Dame holds a record of 23-3, overall, with a 17-3 MEC record. West Liberty comes to South Euclid with a record of 10-16 and an MEC record of 6-14. Urbana now has a record of 16-10 (12-8 MEC). Urbana will host Wheeling University on February 26, prior to hosting Notre Dame. NDC is currently on a six-game winning streak, while WLU and Urbana both lost their previous game.

Coaches Corner: Lauren Macer is in her third season as head coach of the NDC women's basketball program. She has an overall record of 61-26 and has an MEC record of 46-18. Kyle Cooper is in his third season as the head coach of West Liberty. He has a record of 44-42, overall, and 35-29 in MEC play. Andrea McCloskey is also in her third season with Urbana and has a record of 32-47 (26-38 MEC).

Rankings: None of these teams are ranked in the WBCA Coaches Poll. Notre Dame is currently ranked fourth in the Atlantic Region of the Regionals Polls. The top-8 teams from each region make the NCAA DII Tournament.

Series History: Notre Dame holds a record of 8-7 against West Liberty since the 2013-14 campaign. Since the 2012-13 season, NDC has gone 11-5 against Urbana. The Falcons beat West Liberty, 84-69, on November 26. Urbana handed Notre Dame just their second home loss of the season, by a score of 91-70, on January 25.
