This week: Notre Dame College men's basketball has a full slate of games, as they open up at home against Edinboro University on November 18, at 6:30 p.m. before hosting Wright State Lake University on November 20, also at 6:30 p.m. The Falcons will go on the road to play Wheeling University, for a 2 p.m. start, on November 23.
Schedule change: NDC was originally scheduled to host Wheeling on Saturday, but they will now wait until January 22 to play the Cardinals in Murphy Gymnasium.

Coaches Corner:Â
Mark Richmond enters his first season as the head coach of NDC. Pat Cleary has been on Edinboro's sideline for the past seven season, as head coach. He has a record of 76-86, overall, and is 53-72 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. In two seasons at WSLU, Chris Jones has a 11-26 mark. Will Ryan became the head coach of Wheeling this past offseason.
Rankings: None of these teams are ranked in the NABC poll.
Series History: The Falcons beat Edinboro in their only matchup on December 7, 2016, but NDC has never played Wright State Lake. Notre Dame holds a record of 4-9 against Wheeling, since the MEC formed in 2013-14. The Falcons went 2-0 versus WU last season.
Noting the Falcons: NDC had an extended break after they opened the season at the conference challenge. In the first game of the season, the Falcons took on Slippery Rock, who had received a vote in the Preseason NABC Poll, to the final seconds.
Larenz Thurman hit two free throws with four seconds remaining, giving NDC a 76-75 advantage. At the buzzer, Jared Armstrong hit a three to sink the Falcons by two points. Through two contests,
Levi Frankland is leading the squad with 22 points per game, boosted by a career-high 26 against SRU.
Drew Scarberry is tied for the team lead with seven rebounds per game after a career-high 11 rebounds against SRU. He also had a career-high seven assists in that game. Notre Dame will look to get their first victory on Monday, and over the last 11 years, the home opener has been a good omen. NDC has a 10-1 record in home lid lifters, dating back to the start of the 2008-09 season. Ironically, the only loss in that time came last year, before the Falcons went on to win their first MEC Tournament title.
