Haid has been one of the top scorers in the league this year. He ranks in the top 10 among MEC players by scoring 425 total points, averaging 15.7 points per game, while making 149 field goals and 91 free throws. He is third in the MEC in free throw percentage (84.3-percent) and fourth in field goal percentage (49.2-percent).
The native of Wooster, Ohio is ninth in the conference in total offensive rebounds, with 54, and 10th in offensive rebounds per game, with an average of two. He has grabbed 154 rebounds, which is tied for 11th in the MEC, and ranks 14th in rebounding average, with 5.7 per game.
He also ranks seventh in the MEC in steals per game (1.4) and eighth in total steals (37). The Wooster High School product is 14th in assists per game (2.5) and 15th in total assists (67).
Haid has played all 27 games this season, leading the team in minutes played (753), made field goals, made free throws, points scored, points per game, total steals (37) and total blocks (24). He is second on the team in free throw percentage, offensive rebounds, defensive rebounds, total rebounds and total assists.
In a victory over West Virginia State, on Feb. 17, Haid scored 34 points, the most in a game by a Falcon since December 2021. He made 10 field goals in that game, a season-high five 3-pointers and a season-high 12 free throws. Over the last seven games of the regular season, Haid averaged 21.4 points per game and has not scored fewer than 16 points during that stretch.
Notre Dame will play Wheeling University in the First Round of the Mountain East Conference Tournament, on March 6. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
