UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Notre Dame Falcons took control by grabbing the early lead and continued to add to their advantage in a 48-3 win over the John Carroll Blue Streaks, on Saturday night.
Head coach
Frank Romano was happy with the victory in the first ever meeting between the two schools. He said, "It was a good match for the team. We wrestled really well on our feet and nobody got injured."
Notre Dame was awarded six points in the 125 lbs. match because of a JCU forfeit.
David Bavery took down Mitch Tikkanen in the 133 lbs. match by a Tech. Fall and in the 149 lbs. match, Taylor Misuna defeated Shane Ging, also with a Tech. Fall, for Notre Dame.
