Weather the Storm

The Falcons come back from a 9-0 deficit and beat Lake Erie.

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – After falling behind early, the Notre Dame Falcons put together a comeback in order to defeat the Lake Erie Storm, 25-19, in a road dual, on Friday night.

Notre Dame fell down early as Lake Erie's Blake Glogouski was victorious over Ivan McClay, on a fall. The Storm were up 6-0. Lake Erie would get three more points on the board by winning a decision, before Notre Dame would get their first points.

Down 9-0, the Falcons' Cobey Fehr won via a fall, closing the deficit to three points, 9-6, at the 141 lbs. match.

At 165 lbs., Notre Dame's Isaiah White came out on top with a decision but lost a point on a penalty. The Falcons trailed by one point.

In the 174 lbs. match, a major decision by Roberto Rivera put the Falcons up by three, 16-13.

Another major decision, won by Garrett Lineberger at 184 lbs., put the Falcons up 20-13, over the Storm.

And at 285 lbs. Kameron Teacher won on a Tech. Fall, giving the Falcons five points to secure the victory.
