Box Score 2 BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The Notre Dame Falcons hit the road on Friday for a meeting with the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats, and fell to one of the MEC's best teams twice, in 10-0 and 9-0 finals.
The Falcons (8-17, 2-6 MEC) saw their losing streak extend to five with the losses, while the Bobcats (25-3, 7-1 MEC) have now won four in a row overall, and five out of six at home.
Game One
The Falcons had a rough start in the first contest, as they surrendered four runs in the bottom of the first inning, before allowing five more in the bottom of the second, falling into an early 9-0 hole. The game ended via the mercy rule in five innings.
Notre Dame was held to just a pair of hits in the contest, getting knocks from both
Mackenzie Wallace and
Nicole Spuhler at the top of the order.
Game Two
Unfortunately for the Falcons, game two wasn't much different. This time, Wesleyan scored six runs in the home half of the first inning, before plating a trio of runs in the bottom of the second, and put the game away, again winning in five.
Six Falcons hit safely, including Wallace and Spuhler.

Sarah Depp and
Anna Myers all hit safely once as well.
The Falcons are in action again on Saturday, March 26, for another road double header against Glenville State. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
