WHEELING, W.Va. -- The No. 1 ranked Notre Dame College wrestling team took to the road on Friday evening to compete against the host Wheeling Jesuit Cardinals in dual meet action, winning by a final meet score of 24-15.
Three-time national champion
Joey Davis (184 lbs) improved to 120-0 in his collegiate career with a 12-0 Major Decision over WJU's Sawyer Leppla.
Meanwhile, former national champions
Jonatan Rivera (157 lbs) and
Garrett Lineberger (197 lbs) also picked up clutch wins for the Falcons;Â Rivera won via 8-4 Decision to improve to 17-2 on the season while Lineberger won via Tech Fall 16-0 to improve to 18-3 on the season.
Cobey Fehr picked up his third consecutive pinfall victory with a 1:13 Fall over the Cardinals' Damon Outward, adding six points to NDC's tally.
The Falcons will next compete at the Maryville Duals, hosted by the No. 4 Maryville Saints, on Sunday, Feb. 14.
