Box Score PEPPER PIKE, Ohio -- The Notre Dame College women's basketball team fell short in a non-conference road battle against the Ursuline Arrows on Sunday afternoon, losing 81-59.
Martha Nagbe led the Falcons with 19 points, five rebounds and four assists while
Jessica Garcia had 13 points and eight rebounds for NDC.
The Falcons trailed by nine, 23-14, after a late run by the Arrows to end the first quarter.
Kim Cook scored five points in the first quarter alone, and
Kelsey Miller opened the second quarter with consecutive baskets to pace the Falcons.
Nagbe scored nine of her 19 points in the first half while also recording four rebounds, three assists and one block. However, NDC trailed 43-27 at halftime.
In the second half, it was all
Jessica Garcia as she had an impressive showing in all phases of the game. The senior guard scored 11 points on 4-9 shooting, made 3-4 free throws and recorded four rebounds and one steal for the Falcons.
The Falcons will return to action on Thursday, Dec. 3 at home against West Virginia State University in a Mountain East Conference showdown. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Murphy Gym.
