Meet ResultsASHLAND, Ohio -- After competing in numerous tournaments this season, the Notre Dame College wrestling team took to the road to take on Ashland University in the Falcons' first one-on-one dual meet of the season. The Falcons dominated the meet from start to finish, defeating the host Eagles by a final score of 38-6.
Andrew Bannister had a strong night on the mat for the Falcons, pinning AU's Kyle Wahl at the 2:45 mark to pick up a crucial win at 149 pounds. Bannister's victory gave the Falcons an 18-3 lead after 
Jacob Goodwin and 
Maurice Miller received forfeits at 125 pounds and 141, respectively.
With the Falcons leading 18-3, defending national champion 
Jonatan Rivera tacked on to NDC's lead with an 11-3 major decision at 157 pounds. At 165 pounds, 
Louden Gordon also won by major decision, defeating Ashland's Brenden Staley by a 10-1 score.
Joey Davis continued his undefeated collegiate career with a 10-5 win over Luke Cramer at 174 pounds, giving NDC a 29-3 lead late in the meet. 
At 184 pounds, 
Garrett Lineberger also won via forfeit and 
Logan Rimmer came away with a 2-0 win at 285 pounds to add the icing to the Falcons' cake. NDC went on to win the dual meet against Ashland by a final meet score of 38-6.
The Falcons will continue their impressive season on Sunday, Jan. 25 on the road against Lake Erie College in more dual meet action. 
Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
