Follow @NDCSoftball on InstagramSALEM, Va. – The Notre Dame College softball team fell 5-0 decision to the Wheeling Jesuit Cardinals on Saturday afternoon in Salem Va. in the Mountain East Conference tournament.
The Falcons (24-30-1) were unable to repeat their performance from earlier in the tournament as they were shut out by the Cardinals (35-14).
The Cardinals took an early lead scoring twice in the top of the third. There was no score in the game between the second and fifth innings as the pitchers took control.
Wheeling Jesuit would score once in the top of the sixth and twice in the top of the seventh to claim a 5-0 victory and advance in the tournament. On the mound for the Falcons
Ashley Hall took the loss to finish the season with a 15-14 record.
The loss ends the Falcons first season in the Mountain East Conference tournament as they finish 2-2 in the tournament.
