Box Score SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Playing their third straight home game at Murphy Gymnasium, the Notre Dame College men's basketball team hosted the visiting Ohio Midwestern Rams in a non-conference matchup on Monday night. The Falcons came out of the gate firing and used a 30-point, 10-rebound effort from
Lawrence DeArmond to defeat the Rams by a final score of 116-83.

The Falcons and Rams found themselves tied at seven early in the first half before
Tyree Gaiter drained a 3-pointer to break the tie. From there, the Falcons used a 27-9 run to take a 34-16 lead with 8:20 remaining in the first half.

A jumper from
Kyauta Taylor at the 2:50 mark kept the 18-point lead in tact, 46-28.

With under a minute remaining in the first half, DeArmond scored an easy lay up and Gaiter knocked down two free throws in the final seconds, and the Falcons went into intermission with a 58-31 lead at halftime.

The Falcons were led in the first half by 19 points from Gaiter and 18 points from DeArmond.

With a 27-point lead at the start of the second half, the Falcons maintained their advantage throughout the second half, and never saw their lead drop below 18 points. From there, the Falcons cruised to the finish line, putting a stamp on a 116-83 win over OMW.
DeArmond finished the game with 30 points on 11-13 shooting, while Gaiter dropped in 25 points.
Najeeb Johnson and
Kyauta Taylor chipped in 17 and 16 points, respectively.

With the win, the Falcons improve to 5-1 on the season.

NDC will next play on Thursday, Dec. 4 on the road against West Liberty in a Mountain East Conference matchup. West Liberty is currently the top-ranked team in Division II.
