WHEELING, W.Va. -- Competing on the road in Wheeling, West Virginia for the second time in two weeks, the Notre Dame College swimming and diving teams battled against host Wheeling Jesuit University and California University of Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon. (

Women's Swimming and Diving The Falcons competed twice on Saturday, falling to WJU (193-49) and Cal University of PA, 166-69.Â
Freshman Kaitlin Hart put up a strong performance in the 200 Butterfly, finishing in third with a time of 2:18.40. Hart also took third place in the 200 IM with a finish time of 2:19.60.
In the 1000 Freestyle, junior
Kelsi Turk showed impressive endurance as she took sixth place for the Falcons, finishing with a time of 12:05.66.
Senior Jessie Drogemuller finished with a time of 2:07.02 in the 200 Freestyle, good for another third place finish for the Falcons.
After back-to-back weekends in Wheeling, West Virginia to start the season, the Falcons will take next weekend off and compete again on Saturday, Nov. 8 at home against Lake Erie and Urbana.
Men's Swimming and Diving The Falcons squared off against WJU, falling to the Cardinals by a score of 145-111.
Junior
James Fittro took first place in both the 500 and 1000 Freestyle events, finishing with respective times of 5:00.20 and 10:14.10.
NDC had strong performances in the 200 Butterfly as sophomore
Steven Roth (1st place, 2:04.58), freshman Connor Heslin (2nd, 2:06.79) and freshman
Andrew Brandt (3rd, 2:08.16) swept the top three spots.
In the 100 Butterfly, Roth again took first place, finishing with a time of 54.62. Meanwhile, Brandt placed second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:07.04.
