SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Notre Dame saw their 10-game win streak come to an end at the hands of the Cedarville Yellow Jackets, 82-76, on Saturday afternoon at Murphy Gymnasium.
The Falcons (12-12) let a halftime lead of 44-39 slip away and were outscored by Cedarville, 43-32, in the second-half.
With the win, the Yellow Jackets (17-8) avenged their loss to the Falcons back on January 19
, when Notre Dame won, 77-65, in Cedarville.
While both teams shot nearly identical percentages in the first-half, it was the Notre Dame defense which helped the Falcons to a halftime lead. NDC forced eleven turnovers and took care of the ball, leading to a +5 turnover margin (11-6).
Lauren Macer led all scorers in the first half with 13 points on 3-of-9 shooting (33.3 percent) with six of those coming from the charity stripe were she went a perfect 6-for-6. But it was two other Falcons that sparked NDC's offense to a 5-point halftime lead.

Katie Stumphauzer (12 points) and Freshman
Courtney Clark (6 points) were very efficient for Coach Hine in the opening stanza. The duo combined to shoot 66.7 percent from the field (6-of-9) and from beyond the arc (4-of-6). Both Stumphauzer and Clark took also took care of the ball, with neither player committing a turnover.
Cedarville picked up the intensity in the second-half. Led by guards Kayla Jenerette and Raegan Ryan, the Yellow Jackets pushed the tempo to jump out to a ten point lead at 65-55 with eight minutes remaining in the game.
NDC battled to within three points after a
Courtney Clark 3-pointer with 4:23 left on the clock. That was as close as Notre Dame would get as Cedarville pulled away to win their third consecutive game.
Macer paced the Falcons with 20 points, while
Courtney Clark chipped in with 16.
The Lady Jackets were paced by Guards Raegan Ryan (25 points) and Kayla Jenerette (22 points).
The Falcons will look to get back on track Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in Painesville, as they take on the Lake Erie Storm.
