Class of 2016 Bios:
Harley Adler (Burton, Ohio/Berkshire)
Harley Nicole Adler … born October 14, 1993 … daughter of Denny and Tracy Adler … plays for Dennis Lory at Berkshire High School ... was named to the News Herald All-District squad along with All-Chagrin Valley Conference honors in 2010-11 and 2009-10 … guided Badgers to a school record 20-3 mark and a third straight trip to the District tournament as a junior … during her three seasons Berkshire has accumulated a 55-14 record winning two CVC championships.
Hine on Adler: "Harley is a player who brings different dimensions as a post player. She is effective with back to the basket moves as well as facing up. Her outside shot is consistent on the perimeter as well. I think she will contribute to our program at both ends and as she has a strong understanding about the game.”
Jessica Garcia (Lakewood, Ohio/Lakewood)
Jessica Garcia … born November 19, 1993 … daughter of John and Valerie Garcia and Kimberly Garcia … plays for Nicole Anderson and Mike Gallagher at Lakewood High School … earned three letters in volleyball and one in softball for the Rangers … twice named Plain Dealer Player of the Week and All-Northeast Ohio Conference selection as a junior … averaged 18 points, eight rebounds, and three steals as a junior … scored a career-high 39 points leading the Rangers to a 22-21 record in two seasons.
Hine on Adler: "Jessica is an athletic forward with an unlimited amount of potential and athletic ability. The one thing that really stood out to us when recruiting Jessica is her rebounding ability and mentality. She is extremely aggressive at both ends of the floor and she opens up a lot in transition for her team.”
