PEPPER PIKE, Ohio -- #Charisse Colston# set the program record for homeruns by belting her 13th homerun of the season, which also proved to be the game winner in the first half of Wednesday afternoon's twin bill, and then homered again in game two as the Falcons went on to split with Ursuline, taking game one, 5-3, but dropping the second contest, 4-3. Notre Dame (11-17, 4-2) has now won eight out of their last 11 games, and with the split, Ursuline (5-12, 3-5), snapped a seven game losing streak against the Falcons.
Colston's two-run shot came in the seventh inning of game one, to snap a 3-3 tie, marking her 11th homer in her last 13 games. Notre Dame scored the first three runs of the contest, before the Arrows rallied and scored three runs, all with two outs to tie the game in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Arrows plated a pair of runs in the first inning of game two, taking the early advantage. Notre Dame responded in the top of the third, as Colston smashed her second homerun of the afternoon to cut the deficit in half, and #Mallory Harder# knocked in the tying run on a base hit to left field. Shortly after Harder's game tying single, #Michelle Dykes# roped a two out single to center field, plating Harder to give the Falcons the lead.
Ursuline battled back, scoring single runs over the next two innings to tie the game. With the contest tied at 3-3, in the bottom of the seventh inning, Elizabeth Maher drove in the game winning run in the inning on a base hit to center field.
Notre Dame is scheduled to play a home double header on Thursday, April 14, against Carlow (Pa.). The first pitch at Campus Field is scheduled for 3 p.m.

ARROW-DYNAMIC: The Falcons have had a great deal of success against the Arrows, posting an 18-4 record in the all time series. The Arrows won the first meeting, 8-7 in their first meeting in recorded history back in April of 2003, but they've only managed two victories over the Falcons since. Their last win against Notre Dame came back on April 22, 2008. The Falcons are 7-3 all time against the Arrows in Pepper Pike.
CONFERENCE SUPREMACY: The Falcons are 34-6 in AMC action over their last three seasons. Notre Dame went 18-2 en route to an AMC title in 2009, and went 12-4 in the AMC in 2010, before capturing the conference title at the AMC tournament. Over six conference games this season, NDC has outscored their opponents, 51-27, outscoring AMC opponents by an average of 4.0 runs per game.
