Falcons turn 15-0 run into 89-72 bounce-back win

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Notre Dame bounced back from a disappointing loss to Point Park (Pa.) on Thursday with an 89-71 win over Carlow (Pa.) on Saturday afternoon. (Box)

Eleven Falcons found the scoring column in the win, and four finished in double figures as Notre Dame dominated in the American Mideast Conference matinee. Sophomore #Alex Dackin# scored 18 to lead the Blue & White.

For the Falcons (13-8, 9-4 AMC), the victory comes on the heels of NDC falling to Point Park, 68-62, on Thursday, and it keeps the Falcons in contention for a top spot in the AMC postseason, which begins in late February.

Carlow started off the second half by going on a 12-4 run to get the NDC lead down to 20 (62-42). Notre Dame substituted liberally and their shooting cooled off in the second, but the Celtics would only get as close as 16 points the rest of the way.

Dackin scored her 18 on 6-of-13 shooting. Andorka scored 13 for the game. #Kealy McNally# added 12, and #Yvette Hunter# chipped in 10.

Notre Dame shot 45.3 percent (34-for-75) from the floor and 76.5 percent (13-for-17) from the foul line. The Falcons out-rebounded Carlow, 43-37. Hunter had a team-high eight boards in the game.
