SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – Notre Dame hosted Wilberforce Wednesday in what was the Falcons' regular season finale at home. NDC picked up a 67-61 in the American Mideast Conference game, running their league record to 6-4. (

Freshman forward #Eric Dummermuth# scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Notre Dame (17-9, 6-4) on a night when the Falcons shot just 36.7 percent (22-for-60) from the floor.
The loss for Wilberforce (9-15, 1-8) was their eighth straight.
The game started evenly and after the first seven minutes, the Falcons held a slim 11-10 lead. Notre Dame then went on a 10-3 run that was capped off by a #Nick McCartney# 3-pointer at 10:53. McCartney hit a pair of treys in the half, as did sophomore guard #Eric Maag#. NDC went 5-of-9 from beyond the arc in the first.
Notre Dame extended their lead to 11 (31-20) at 7:02, on a put-back by freshman guard #Steve Savel#. Wilberforce cut that lead to six at one point, but the Falcons played solid defense over the final three minutes of the frame to take a 40-30 lead into halftime.
Eric Dummermuth and Dan Jones paced Notre Dame in the first half; they each scored 10 points.
In the second stanza, WU cut the Falcon lead to six (46-40) at 14:57, when Tim Giles drained a three. In the next eight minutes of game play, Notre Dame rebuilt their lead to 13 and then saw the Bulldogs cut that back down to six.
Wilberforce cut the Falcon lead to four (61-57) on a Phillip Moore bucket in the lane at 4:00. By the one-minute mark, Notre Dame held a 64-59 lead. After the two teams exchanged turnovers, Eric Maag drained a pair of free throws to put the Falcons up, 66-59. NDC would close out the Bulldogs moments later with the 67-61 final.
Eric Dummermuth scored his 16 points on 6-of-15 shooting. Senior forward #Dan Jones# added 17 points and six boards. Eric Maag scored 11.

Wilberforce shot 39.0 percent (23-for-59) for the game. The Bulldogs were led by Phillip Moore, who finished with game-highs in points (18) and rebounds (12)
Wednesday's tilt on College Road marked the Falcons' final home game of the regular season. Notre Dame will close out their AMC campaign and the regular season with three straight road games.
Notre Dame will begin that road swing on Saturday, when they travel to North Canton, Ohio, to take on the No. 5-ranked Cavaliers of Walsh University. Tip-off in Walsh's Alumni Arena is set for 4 p.m.
