Falcons iced in winter Storm

Cold spell continues as NDC loses at Lake Erie

PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- Notre Dame lost to Lake Erie, 77-65, on Monday as the Falcons' ice-cold shooting of late continued on the first day of winter. (Box)

With the loss Notre Dame (6-4) has dropped three of their last four games. On Monday night in Painesville, NDC shot just 31.8 percent (21-for-66) from the floor. In their four-game spell, the Blue & White are now shooting an anemic 29.6 percent (68-for-230).

With the victory Lake Erie (8-6) snaps a two-game losing streak; the Storm have won seven of their last nine.

Freshman #Chelsea Andorka# scored a career-high 18 points as the only Falcon to notch double-digits in the game. Andorka came off the NDC bench; 42 of the team's 65 points were scored off the bench.

Notre Dame will now be off for eight days before travelling to Beloit on Dec. 30.

NEIGHBORS MEET AGAIN:
Monday's game in Painesville marked the first between the two northeast Ohio programs since Dec. 27, 2002.

FOUR ON THE FLOOR: In their last four games, NDC has scored just 56.5 points per game. Over their first six games this season, the Falcons averaged 83.5.
