Henry tallied 18 points and 10 boards for the Falcons, who themselves shot over 50 percent for a second straight game. NDC's 40 points allowed is their best of the season and the fewest they've yielded in a game since Nov. 13, 2007.
For Notre Dame (14-5, 4-0), the victory marked their fourth straight, and it kept them undefeated in American Mideast Conference (AMC) play, at 4-0. The loss for Malone runs their season record to 4-10; the Pioneers are now 1-2 in three conference games.
In the first half of the game, Notre Dame sprinted to a 20-6 lead by the 14-minute mark. The Falcons went eight for the first 13 from the field and went on to shoot 53.8 (14-for-26) in the first frame.
Notre Dame was particularly effective in the front court in the game's opening half. Jamie Henry tallied eight points and eight boards and #Yvette Hunter# went 4-of-4 from the field in scoring nine points. As a team, NDC out-rebounded Malone, 19-8, in the first half.
In the second stanza, steady play from the NDC starters and bench ran the home team advantage to 20 points by the 15-minute mark and 30 by the eight-minute mark. With the eventual 36-point blowout, the NDC coaching staff was able to work in nine reserves for significant minutes.
Henry scored her 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting. The 5-foot-10 veteran forward has now posted four straight double-doubles, and has accomplished that same feat in six of the Falcons' last seven games.
Hunter finished the game a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor to finish with 13 points. Senior guard #Ashley Carney# also notched 13 points and five assists for the Falcons, who out-rebounded the Pioneers, 40-30, and won the turnover battle, 25-15.
Malone (4-10, 1-2) was led by Nicole Feher, who scored 11 points.
The Falcons have now won four straight since dropping back-to-back games on Dec. 16-17 in the West Palm Beach Classic in Florida.
Notre Dame's next game is slated for Saturday, Jan. 17, when the Falcons welcome the Ohio Dominican Panthers. Tip-off at Murphy Gymnasium is scheduled for 2 p.m. as the first half of a women's-men's twin bill.

SERIES: Notre Dame has now won back-to-back games against Malone for the first time in more than a decade. Overall in 33 all-time meetings, NDC is 6-27 against the Pioneers. … NDC's 4-0 AMC mark has them in second place in the conference, a half-game behind their Saturday opponent, Ohio Dominican. ODU will play one game, at Ursuline on Friday, before the Falcons and Panthers face each other on Saturday.
CENTER SQUARE FOR THE BLOCK: NDC blocked a season-high 10 shots Tuesday against Malone. Yvette Hunter had four, which is a single-game high for the Falcons this season. … Hunter's 6-of-6 shooting on the night runs her season shooting percentage to 65.0 percent (103-for-160). That's the top mark in the nation.
