Thomas Coleman

Thomas E. Coleman was added to the Notre Dame College Men’s Basketball staff in August 2023. He brings many years of experience to the program ranging from High School to Junior College. His experience regarding academics and recruiting fit well into the philosophy and framework of Coach Mark Richmond.
 
Coleman was an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Cuyahoga Community College for six years. Coleman’s efforts helped the team rack up an Impressive 143-45 record over that span. These teams produced (18) All-Conference players, (8) NJCAA DII Region 12 District 11 First Team performers, and (2) NJCAA DII All-Americans. In addition (3) OCCAC Titles, (1) OCCAC Player of the Year and (1) Region XII Player of the Year.   Coleman assisted in placing (28) players at four-year institutions.
 
Prior to coaching at Tri-C, Coleman previously coached at Cincinnati State Technical & Community College for five years as well as Columbus State Community College for two years. While at those institutions, Coleman helped place (10) student-athletes to various four-year Institutions to further their education.
 
Coleman obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Social Sciences/Business Studies from Binghamton State University 1986. He was a Four-Year Letterman on the Men’s Basketball Team and received the Team’s Most Improved Award and All-Freshman Team Honors. He currently is ranked 4th All-Time on the school’s field goal percentage list. Coleman also completed the Teacher Education Evening Licensure Program at Notre Dame College in May 2002 and a Masters in Educational Administration/Leadership from Ashland University in 2015.
