Rich joined the Notre Dame Men’s Basketball program as an assistant in 2007. In addition to serving as an assistant coach, Garcia is also on the Notre Dame College Athletics Advisory Committee, and is the Chairman of the Notre Dame College Board of Trustees.
A graduate of Kent State University, Garcia earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1979. He then attended Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management, where he earned an executive MBA, in 1991. Rich is currently a private investor and the Chief Financial Officer of Koroseal Interior Products in Fairlawn Ohio.
Garcia resides in Shaker Heights with his wife Robin. They have two daughters (Macrina and Calle) and a son (Richard).
