This Week:Â Notre Dame College women's lacrosse will play on the home turf for the first time this season. On March 13, Notre Dame College will welcome No. 13 University of Indianapolis to Mueller Field for a 2 p.m. start. The Falcons play Walsh University at home, on March 16, with a 1 p.m. first draw.

Records:Â NDC is currently 1-4 over their first five games of the season, while UIndy has a 4-1 mark. Walsh currently sits at 3-2.

Coaches Corner: Elizabeth Mettler is in her first season leading NDC and Peyton Romig is in her first campaign at Indianapolis. Erin Backinoff is in her second season leading the way at Walsh.

Rankings: UIndy is ranked No. 13 in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division II top 25 poll.
Series History:Â NDC has seen alot of these two program in recent years. The Falcons are still looking for their first win over UIndy, after playing the Greyhounds once in each of the last four seasons. All of those games were played in Indianapolis. NDC is 2-7 all-time versus Walsh, playing the Cavaliers five times in the last six seasons.
Noting the Falcons: Notre Dame played one game last week. The Falcons fell to McKendree University, 13-10.
Joselyn Storm led the way with three goals and five draw controls, while
Gwen Bogash and
Carlie Wilson both scored two goals.
Sydney Pierce,
Kayla Manna and
Cameron Briggs all caused two turnovers.
Storm now leads the team with 12 goals and 25 draw controls in 2024.
Grace Nickoloff, who did not play against McKendree, is second on the team with 11 goals. She also has dished out three assists, Rotter and Bogash each have five assists on the year. Briggs has caused five turnovers, while goalkeeper
Annika Duncan already has 48 saves on the season.
Noting the Greyhounds: UIndy has gotten off to another great start. After losing in overtime in the NCAA Division II regional final last season, the Greyhounds' only loss so far this year came against No. 2 ranked Florida Southern, 22-14. In the four games following the 2024 season opener, UIndy has won all of them by at least 10 goals and has not allowed more than eight goals in a game to any other team.
Megan Dunn and Olivia Bladon both have 18 goals on the season. Dunn also has 16 assists for a total of 34 points on the year. Mackenzie Winn leads the team in assists, with 17, to go along with 15 goals. Five players have already reached double-digits in goals this year. Five different players have at least 12 draw controls, as Malaena Michielin leads the way in that category, with 22. Amanda Hurry has nine caused turnovers. Goalkeeper Ava Graham has saved 23 shots.
Noting the Cavaliers: Walsh has played four of its five games at home so far this season. They lost to No. 13 UIndy, back on Feb. 25 and Roberts Wesleyan, on March 2, but, in their last two games, Walsh beat Ursuline College, 27-0, and Quincy University, 12-10. Against Quincy, Walsh took fewer shots, had more turnovers and won fewer draws, but found a way to win. Sidney Klinger had five goals, including two during a late WU run that took the Cavs from trailing by one to being up by three. Mallory Miller won four draw controls.
Rachel Black has scored 16 goals for Walsh, while Sidney Klinger has 11. Isabella Kelty leads the squad with 15 assists, to go along with six goals. Mallory Miller has totaled 25 draw controls and she has caused nine turnovers. Kathleen Mendenhall has started all five games in goal this year. She has made 26 stops.Â
