FROSTBURG, MD – A weather-stricken Sunday afternoon featured the Notre Dame College women's soccer team (0-1-2, 0-1 MEC) on the road at Frostburg State (3-0, 1-0 MEC). After an hour weather delay, the action commenced on a slick and wet pitch with the Bobcats prevailing 2-0.
The Falcons posted the first shot of the match during the seventh minute off the boot of Mia Maurna. FSU responded with a flurry of shots over the next 15 minutes before finding the back of the net in the 24
th minute via Toni Fiocco-Mizer.
The two sides slowed down offensively for the remainder of the half, as the scoreboard read 1-0 at the break.
Frostburg State scored to begin the second half, as Fiocco-Mizer tallied her second goal of the match in the 47
th minute.
Notre Dame continued to battle with a pair of quality opportunities less than a minute later.

Ashley Rainho delivered dangerous shots on goal in the 47
th and 48
th minutes, however FSU keeper Ashley Bilger answered the call.
Senior
Jordan Pasalaqua recorded a game-high five saves, including two in the second half (60
th and 77
th minutes), as the Madison, Ohio native stood tall against the high-powered Bobcat offense, which entered the day top 10 in the country in shots per game.
Rainho registered her second shot on goal in the 87
th minute, as she paced the NDC offense on the day.
In comparing the two sides, NDC had four shots, including three on target, to go with three corner kicks and five saves. FSU posted 18 shots, including seven on target, to go with three corner kicks and three saves.
The Notre Dame College women's soccer team will be back in action on Wednesday Sept. 13, as the Falcons travel to West Liberty University to face the Hilltoppers at 6 p.m.
