NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – On Wednesday, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced that Notre Dame College women's lacrosse was named as an Academic Honor Squad, for the first time in program history, while seniors
McKenna Kincaid and
Jamira Mashore and redshirt-sophomore

"We are extremely proud of our upperclassmen who made the list, and the team overall, for their hard work in the classroom," said head coach
Ben Morhac. "Our team is extremely dedicated to hard work in the classroom and on the field. The coaching staff could not be more proud of them."
To qualify for the Academic Honor Squad, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year. The Falcons are one of 289 schools listed by the IWLCA across Division I, Division II, Division III and NAIA schools. NDC is one of 57 Division II schools.
This past season, NDC posted a record of 10-9, while going 8-2 in the Mountain East Conference. The Falcons have now won at least 10 games in each of the last three seasons. Also for the third consecutive season, Notre Dame won a game in the MEC Tournament.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. The IWLCA honored 401 student-athletes from 59 different institutions.
Kincaid graduated with degrees in communications and public relations/coaching, holding a GPA of 3.92. Last season she played in all 19 games, recording six goals and scoring five of those goals in two games against West Virginia Wesleyan. She also caused eight turnovers and won 12 draw controls.
Mashore had a GPA of 3.61 and graduated with degrees in exercise science and business administration. In her first season with the Falcons, the native of Willow Grove, Pa. scored 22 goals and assisted on 25 others for a total of 47 points in 19 games. Mashore scored multiple goals in eight different games and on March 26, against W.Va. Wesleyan, she had four goals and five assists.
London is currently working toward a degree in nursing and has a GPA of 3.53. Also in her first season with NDC, London played all 19 games and was fourth on the team with 16 caused turnovers. She posted a season-high four caused turnovers against Frostburg State, on April 27.
