PHILIPPI, W.Va. – Heading out on the road for the first time since April 5, Notre Dame College did not skip a beat and continued to dominate through the Mountain East Conference portion of the schedule. The Falcons posted eight goals in the first quarter against Alderson Broaddus University, on the way to a 21-3 victory, on Saturday.
Alderson Broaddus did win the opening draw, but a caused turnover by sophomore
Piper Hammond allowed the Falcons to come away with the possession. Hammond took a shot, that was saved by AB's goalkeeper Taylor Young, but NDC kept the ball and sophomore
Joselyn Storm put it into the back of the net.
Storm had four goals in the first half and ended the game with five, a career-high.
A little over a minute later, junior
Charlotte Vari scored the first of her four goals, with an assist by senior
Kendal Johnson. Johnson had caused the turnover that led to Notre Dame getting its second goal.
Neither team scored again until their were eight minutes left on the clock, and Notre Dame began to roll. Johnson found Vari, at the 7:41-mark to put NDC ahead 3-0. Seconds later, NDC's
Piper Hammond would win the draw control, and freshman
Grace Rotter passed to senior
Jamira Mashore for another goal.
Later in the first quarter, with the Falcons leading 5-0, Notre Dame added three goals in the span of 63 seconds. Johnson, Rotter and Storm all found the net to put NDC up 8-0 by the end of the first.
NDC has not allowed a first quarter goal in the last four contests.
The first four goals of the second quarter were all scored by Notre Dame, prior to the nine-minute mark. Storm, Johnson, Vari and freshman
Ella Scoville had the goals, while senior
Megan Dano and Mashore each had an assist.
AB got on the board with a free position goal, midway through the second stanza.

Tess Lisy's second assist of the game and NDC led 13-2 at halftime.
Notre Dame dominated the third quarter, outscoring AB, 4-0, and winning three of the four draw controls. The Falcons pushed their lead to 16-2 in the first six minutes of the quarter. Along with Storm scoring her fifth, senior

Lexington Carson all put the ball into the back of the net.
In the fourth, Notre Dame outscored AB, 4-1, highlighted by a goal and assist by Scoville. Rotter scored the final goal of the game on a free position attempt.
Vari scored four times, for the second consecutive game. Johnson, Rotter, Mashore and Scoville all scored twice. Mashore had three assists, while Johnson, Scoville, Dano and Lisy all had two. Hammond set a career-high with nine draw controls and Scoville tied her career-high with seven.

Annika Duncan had one of her best games of the season, recording seven saves in just three quarters of play.
The Falcons went 10-for-10 on clear attempts, won ten more draw controls than the Battlers (18-8) and took 49 shots.
During this current win streak, NDC has scored over 16 goals in all five games and has outscored its opponents, 104-14.
Notre Dame will get ready for a late-season test against Frostburg State University, in a battle for the top spot in the conference. The game is scheduled for April 27, at 3 p.m.
