COLUMBUS, Ohio – A slew of individual season-highs achieved by the Notre Dame College women's basketball team (1-5) on Sunday afternoon at Ohio Dominican (2-2), however the Falcons fell on the road to the Panthers 79-73.
 
Notre Dame started the contest scorching hot, knocking down 10 of 12 shots from the field, including 6-7 from the three-point line. Junior Kennadi Harris paced NDC in the frame going 3-3 from beyond the arc. Harris buried a back-to-back threes to gift the Falcons an early 8-2 lead. Later in the quarter, Harris and Mallory Hullinger exchanged a pair of three-pointers, moving NDC in front 16-11 with 4:01 to play in the period. Next, Hullinger canned her second three-pointer, alongside Karli Anker joining in on the action to push the Falcons in front 25-16. Cencere McDaniel capped off the quarter with a buzzer-beating jumper to deliver Notre Dame their largest lead at 27-16.
 
The two sides exchanged baskets to open the second quarter as Notre Dame continued to lead 31-20 with 6:23 to play before the half. Ohio Dominican chipped away at the NDC lead, taking the frame 13-8, as the Falcons led 35-29 at halftime.
 
ODU pulled to within three points, before NDC regained a seven-point edge following back-to-back baskets from Hayley St. John and Noel Weathers with 6:10 left in the third quarter. The score remained between a five and seven point Notre Dame lead, before the Panthers scored before the buzzer to bring the contest to 50-47.
 
In the fourth quarter, Ohio Dominican grabbed their first lead of the game at 52-50 with 8:58 remaining in the game. The Panthers pushed ahead, by claiming the frame 32-23, before taking the game 79-73.
 
Notre Dame was led by Harris and Weathers with a team-high 17 points apiece. Hullinger added 12, as Anker chipped in eight and St. John tallied seven. Harris, Hullinger and St. John notched season-highs on the afternoon.
 
Rachel Richardson and Lilee Carlson facilitated the Falcons on offense with a game-high and season-high four assists each,
 
On the glass, Weathers corralled a team-high and tied for the game-high with five rebounds, as St. John secured three.
 
Notre Dame shot 27-47 (57.4%) from the floor, tied for the eighth-best field goal percentage in program history, and the most efficient mark since Mar. 2, 2019 at Urbana. In addition, the Falcons posted 10-16 (62.5%) shooting from deep, the third-best mark in program history and the most efficient since Mar. 2, 2019 at Urbana. NDC added 9-17 (52.9%) shooting from the free throw line, 18 rebounds, 14 assists, eight steals and four blocks.
 
The Notre Dame College women's basketball team will be back in action on Wednesday Nov. 29 at 5:30 p.m. as Glenville State University enters Murphy Gymnasium.
